Where and when are lessons held?
Lessons are generally held after school at the parish and last for one hour. The day on which they are held and the exact time varies from parish to parish.
What age (or school year level) are Sacraments celebrated an how long does preparation take?
The Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are generally celebrated at ages 8 and 9 respectively (Years 3 and 4). Preparation for these sacraments is conducted over a two-year period. The Sacrament of Confirmation is generally celebrated in the last year of primary school (whether Year 6 or 7). Parishes make provisions for the religious education and sacramental preparation of children with special needs. They are supported by the Personal Advocacy Service

I have older children who have not received the sacraments. What do I do?
Speak to your Parish Priest who will ensure your child is placed in the appropriate program.
