St Norbert College Celebrates 50 Years

On Friday 5 June the St Norbert College community joined together to enjoy a special mass in recognition of St Norbert Day and the 50th Anniversary of the College. The Archbishop the Most Reverend Timothy Costelloe, celebrated the mass at St Mary’s Cathedral in the city.

Around 900 students packed into the Cathedral and were joined by over a hundred members of the community in what was a wonderful celebration for the College. The Archbishop gave a wonderful homily that spoke to the students about the decisions they would have to make now and how these will affect them in their future lives.

‘It was a perfect way to celebrate the life of the patron saint of our College’, Mrs Annette Morey, the Principal of St Norbert College said.

After the mass the students returned to the College for a day of celebration that included a food fair, a staff verses students soccer game and an afternoon of very entertaining performing arts acts, including the unveiling of some very special gifts, presented to the College to mark the 50th Anniversary.

Nyssa Coutinho and Caiden Vales de Menezes enjoy the food fair.
