St Maria Goretti’s School Nature Play

St Maria Goretti’s Catholic School in Redcliffe recently unveiled their purpose built nature playground after extensive planning and a 12-week build.

The nature playground is the centrepiece of the Early Years Learning and Care area at the school and incorporates a water feature, music area, sustainable gardens and multisensory equipment.

St Maria Goretti’s Principal Martin Barrett said the playground, which is part of a significant redevelopment program, had been very warmly received by the school community.

'Play based learning is a critical component in successful early years programs,' Principal Barrett said.

'After months of planning, it’s fantastic to see all the elements of the NQS and ELYS captured and brought to life in our playground, which the students have responded so positively to.'
