LEAD Awards for Excellence 2015

The LEAD Awards for Excellence 2015 were announced on 10 August at the annual Catholic Schools Staff Breakfast.

Seven LEAD Awards and four Awards of Merit were presented for outstanding school projects and initiatives that exemplified the LEAD strategic direction components of Learning, Engagement, Accountability, and Discipleship. Choosing the winners was a tough task for the selection panel, with the submission of 28 applications in total this year, all of a high standard.

Awards went to Majella Catholic Primary School, St Simon Peter Catholic Primary School, Kearnan College, La Salle College, St Jude’s Catholic Primary School, Whitford Catholic Primary School, Kolbe Catholic College, Hammond Park Catholic Primary School, and Corpus Christi College. More details on the award-winning projects will be published over the coming weeks.

The breakfast was also a forum to acknowledge and honour the achievement of staff members who have contributed 30 years of service to Catholic Education. Those who attended the event were presented with certificates and had a group photograph taken.

La Salle College teacher Mr Rino Randazzo, one of those reaching the 30-year milestone, shared some of his experiences and encouragement with breakfast guests.
