Prayers and heartfelt condolences go to the family of Des O’Sullivan, who passed away recently.

Des was an inspiring educator and leader, a man of vision, character, integrity and faith, with a long and distinguished history in Catholic Education in Western Australia.

Des was a former principal of St Norbert College in Queen’s Park, and in 1986 became Deputy Director of Catholic Education, serving with Director Dr Peter Tannock. He was integral to the establishment of the University of Notre Dame Australia, working as assistant to the foundation Vice Chancellor Professor David Link, and as Registrar and Principal Advisor when Dr Tannock became Vice Chancellor.

His life and work blessed and encouraged so many in Catholic Education over many years in all the different roles in which he served. May God continue to comfort and strengthen those who mourn his loss during this sad time.

Dr Tim McDonald and the Catholic Education community of Western Australia.
