St Bernard’s Primary School celebrate ANZAC troops with Great Southern Community

The great southern community will mark the troops leaving Albany as part of the ANZAC celebrations at the end of October 2014. Tens of thousands of people are expected to make the trek to Albany to take part in the long weekend of celebrations.

St Bernard’s art specialist Jeannie Kelly worked throughout Term 3 on a giant art installation to place along St Bernard’s Albany Highway boundary fence. The children across all year levels painted the giant poppies, a symbol of remembrance and respect.

The art installation is a poignant reminder that these people who fought for our country will never be forgotten. Lest we forget.
