Lifelink Day 2012 was held at Aquinas College on Wednesday 6 June. Assistant Director Tim McDonald represented the Catholic Education Office at the event.
Archbishop Timothy Costelloe and Chairman of Lifelink Day, Auxiliary Bishop Donald Sproxton were also attending. This year the Bishops did not host webcasts to the schools, and instead uploaded a professionally filmed replay of the launch event. The video can be accessed on the Lifelink website
The Lifelink Day School Initiative was started in 1999 with an aim to promote an understanding of the Church’s response to people in need, and to instill in Catholic students a sense of responsibility for caring for those less fortunate.
Lifelink Day is celebrated annually in Catholic schools across Western Australia on 6 of June. Since it’s inception, over $800 000 to help people in need across Western Australia.
